For NDIS clients, music therapy is charged at the rate for item number 15_615_0128_1_3 in the current NDIS pricing guide. Please refer to the NDIS price guide for current pricing. For under 7s, use item number 15_005_0118_1_3.

We work with people who do not have NDIS funding too

If you don’t have NDIS funding, Melbourne Music Therapy uses a flexible pricing structure that takes your circumstances into account. Please do not hesitate to make an enquiry.

All our music therapists are registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association. We hold masters degrees or higher and have extensive experience in a range of clinical contexts. We look forward to meeting you!

Dr Jason Kenner, Director and Senior Music Therapist at Melbourne Music Therapy

  • Director, Senior Music Therapist

    Dr Jason Kenner is at the forefront of innovative approaches to health and wellbeing in music therapy. A Registered Music Therapist (RMT) with 17 years of clinical experience in a range of health settings, a PhD in mental health, plus leadership and mentoring to a generation of Australian and International music therapists lecturing at the renowned Master of Music Therapy at The University of Melbourne.


  • Music Therapist

    Priscilla is a registered music therapist with extensive experience in paediatrics. She has over 10 years of clinical experience having worked at Monash Children's Hospital, The Austin School, and Melbourne University with children and young people across palliative care, developmental, physical and mental health. Throughout her career, Priscilla has also contributed to the training and supervision of music therapists and music therapy students. Since joining Melbourne Music Therapy in 2021, Priscilla has expanded her clinical experience to include adults disability and mental health.


  • Music Therapist

    Nic is a passionate musician who has produced his own original guitar music for more than 25 years. Nic has worked supporting people with mental health and disabilities through creative arts and community music for more than 20 years. Since completing his masters degree in music therapy at Melbourne University in 2016 he has been working as a Registered Music Therapist specialising in adolescent mental health at the Royal Children's Hospital, and since joining Melbourne Music Therapy is working with people of all ages including children with autism, adults in aged care, and everything in between.

  • Music Therapist

    Clara has been a registered music therapist for 2 years after coming from a background in music performance and tuition. She enjoys collaborating with a diverse range of people to share musical experiences that are easeful, meaningful and joyful.

    Clara’s clinical experience has been in community and residential settings, working with children, adults and families experiencing disability, mental health challenges, trauma and homelessness.

    Clara has a passion for inclusive, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming and culturally-responsive practice.


  • Music Therapist

    Lucy has been a Registered Music Therapist since 2003. She comes to Melbourne Music Therapy from a background in choral and folk music and many years experience in community mental health and disability work in residential and community health settings. As a Registered Music Therapist she has continued to work predominantly in the community providing therapeutic and community music experiences across the lifespan from early childhood to aged care. Lucy is looking forward to adapting and applying her group music facilitation skills to meet the therapeutic needs of individual clients. Central to Lucy’s work is an unconditional positive regard for all people, a commitment to inclusion and a belief in the power of music to support and facilitate positive change in people’s lives.

  • Music Therapist

    Michael has been a registered music therapist for 5 years with extensive experience working in aged care and with older adults. He has been an avid musician for many years with experience song writing, producing, and performing in bands and solo, playing many genres from classical to heavy metal. Therapeutically Michael has experience working with people who face challenges associated with chronic mental health, disability, palliative care and neurorehabilitation. Michael’s passion for developing quality interventions is reflected in his continual professional development through studying psychology.
